• The managing committee are also the staff

The organizational work for the care and responsibility of 800 children and the other projects of NEEED are carried out only by 10 people. All of the employees work voluntarily.

These are:

(1) The 10 persons from the managing committee of NEEED. They all are voluntary workers and do not receive any money from the NEEED fund but their expenses for electricity, phoning, office material and travelling costs are reimbursed.
  • Permanent personnel
  • The principals of the schools as educational employees

(2) The secretary that works part – time is the only fully employed worker at NEEED.

(3) The principals of the 28 village schools which are supported by NEEED help organize the classes and distribute the school materials. NEEED reimburses their expenses for gasoline in order for them to be able to take part at school meetings.
  •  How much is spent on administrative overheads  

Merely 5% of the donations are used for administrative work. At the moment (2005) it amounts to approx. 1 Mio. Francs CFA or € 1400/$1150.
  • Help from abroad

We also receive much appreciated help from our godparents in Europe and the U.S.A who help us in many ways. They are our silent (informell) co–workers without them much of our project would fail.
